Jakarta, IO – Foreign Ministry (Kemlu) outlined a host of issues to be discussed during the 42nd ASEAN Summit scheduled for May 10-11 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said the issues to be discussed are similar to the ones during G20 Summit in Bali last year with an emphasis on Asean Matters and the Epicentrum of Growth, reported KataData, Friday (28/4).
“Other than discussing the vision, we also want the issues under discussion to be understood by the common people,” said Retno.
She explained that the theme Asean Matters will revolve around internal Asean issues to strengthen the region. Meanwhile, under Epicentrum of Growth, there will be five topics, including One Health initiative, the use of local currency in Asean-wide transactions, the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem, village networks, and the development of the food industry.

Retno conveyed that preparations for the summit has been well underway and she gave the assurance that the government had prepared for all potential risks and contingencies. (un)
