The Bible Museum in Jakarta exhibits the largest bible to Noah’s ark diorama

Jakarta, IO – Jakarta has another interesting museum. The Bible Museum at 12 Salemba Raya Street, Central Jakarta.

The museum is under the auspices of the Indonesian Bible Institute (LAI), which has been translating bibles since 1954. it houses collections of bibles of various sizes, per detikcom, Tuesday (25/7).

One of its prominent collections is the largest bible in the world recognized by the Indonesia World Records Museum (MURI) as the ‘Study Edition Bible’. It measures 208 cm x 147 cm and weighs roughly 120 kilograms.

It also has an old bible which was published in London in 1839. This museum is even more unique because it is equipped with various dioramas such as Noah’s Ark, as well as Solomon’s Temple.

It is open to the general public from 8am to 4pm WIB on weekdays and 9am to 3pm WIB on weekends. There is a small admission fee of Rp5,000/per person. (un)
