Jakarta, IO – The “2023 Now Playing Festival” event successfully took place on March 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12 of 2023 at Pussenif Field, Bandung, attracting thousands of music enthusiasts. The Festival managed to revive the creative industry, particularly the music concert business in Bandung and West Java in general. Although the Festival has ended, the good feelings and ambiance linger on.

The Now Playing Festival was initiated by Nada Promotama, who has fulfilled concertgoers’ longing to experience world-class musicians’ performances. The theme “Bohemian: Safety Mode” was dedicated to capturing the visitors excitement during this year’s festivities.

Dashboard Confessional and Boys Like Girls, two American music groups, played fantastically during the first week of the 2023 Now Playing Festival. The crowd exhibited their enthusiasm by cheering and celebrating both bands, who had been eagerly looked forward to. The audience got carried away by the “blast from the past” songs. The American bands admitted that they were astonished by the audience’s enthusiasm and the friendliness of their Indonesian fans.

In the second week, Secondhand Serenade successfully rocked the 2023 Now Playing Festival stage with a number of their hits, and nicely collaborated with Feel Koplo in performing the traditional Koplo version of “Fall For You.” Koplo, or dangdut koplo, is a subgenre of dangdut, Indonesian popular dance and folk music, that originated in East Java during the early 2000s. The original version of “Fall for You” is a slow rock song that was transformed into a fast-beat Koplo version. The rearranged koplo version successfully ignited concertgoers to dance and sing along to the song, which went viral on social media.
