Jakarta, IO – Former agriculture minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) wore a prisoner’s uniform during a press conference at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Building, Jakarta, Friday (13/10).
Syahrul was officially detained by the anti-graft agency after approximately 24 hours of questioning regarding his involvement of the extortion and gratification cases within the ministry of agriculture (Kementan). Earlier, he was forcibly arrested at an apartment in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday (12/10).

Other than SYL, KPK also held Agricultural Equipment and Machinery director Muhammad Hatta, who was also present at the press conference. KPK deputy chairman Alexander Marwata said the two suspects would be detained for 20 working days, from October 13 to November 1 at KPK Detention Center and could be extended if deemed necessary by the investigation team.
