Bekasi, IO – Rans Nusantara managed to get full points after beating Persija Jakarta in the League 1 match at the Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Sunday (22/10).
With their status as the visiting team, Rans Nusantara went on the offensive from the start to undermine Persija’s defense. In the fifth minute, Rans striker Evandro Elmer had a golden opportunity from a pull pass, but his shot still hit the right-hand post.
Rans was only able to break the deadlock in the 11th minute through Evandro Brandao’s spot kick after goalkeeper Persija Cahya committed a foul in the penalty box.
Stung by the goal, Persija players sprang to increase the intensity of their attacks. Marco Simic, Maciej Fajos, Ryo Matsumura and Riko Simanjuntak took turns posing threats to Rans Nusantara FC goal post, but unfortunately these attacks failed to convert into goals. The 1-0 advantage lasted until halftime.
Entering the second half, Persija Jakarta played offensively from the start. Thomas Doll’s squad were desperate for a breakthrough. Unfortunately, they conceded again through Angelo Meneses’ measured free kick in the 56th minute.

The Kemayoran Tigers did not give up looking for the first goal. At last, Muhammad Ferrari in 58 managed to reduce the deficit to 1-2. With a header, Ferrari was able to take advantage of a mature pass from Firza Andika.
The match became increasingly heated and both teams increased the intensity of their attacks. However, until the final whistle sounded no additional goals were created.
