Jakarta, IO – The electability of Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto continues to strengthen ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The latest poll by Suara Politik Publik (SPP) shows that Prabowo trumped other presidential hopefuls.
SPP executive director Asrudin Azwar said the poll conducted on July 7-16 involving 1,200 respondents showed that Prabowo has the highest electability rating out of 10 figures polled.
The results were: Prabowo (28.7 percent), Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo (20.5 percent), Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan (13.9 percent), West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (5.75 percent), and Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (3.45 percent).
“There are a number of factors that make Prabowo superior to other figures. He is well-known and well-liked by the majority of public and also viewed as the most appropriate figure to be a president,” said Asrudin, as reported by Sindonews, Monday (25/7).
