PPP Jakarta’s secretariat previously announced that it would recommend Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa as presidential and vice-presidential candidates for 2024. Its acting chairman Farhan Hasan Al-Amri said the two names deserved to be supported because they were considered successful in carrying out their duties as regional heads.
“Both have a vision to advance the Muslim community and the nation which aligns with PPP’s own vision. Anies-Khofifah is also active in establishing political communication with various parties,” said Farhan. (un)
