Jakarta, IO – The electability of presidential and vice presidential candidate pair No 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in East Java has reached 60.1% and keeps trending upward.
This was revealed from the results of the latest Poltracking Indonesia survey released on Tuesday (6/2). Based on the survey conducted from January 25-31, Prabowo-Gibran outpaced Ganjar-Mahfud who gained 17.2% and Anies-Muhaimin whose share was 14.9%.
“Trends in Prabowo Subianto’s electoral trend in East Java has consistently moved upward since June 2023. A significant increase occurred from September 2023 to January 2024, at 19.5% after he announced his running mate Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” the pollster wrote.
The survey also revealed that the electability trend for Anies-Muhaimin tended to be stable while Ganjar-Mahfud tended to drop.
Prabowo-Gibran polled the highest in Arek, Mataraman, Tapal Kuda and Pantura regions, while in Madura the votes were split between Prabowo-Gibran and Anies-Muhaimin.
Poltracking Indonesia held a survey in 11 electoral districts comprising 8,000 respondents. The survey employed stratified multistage random sampling with a margin of error of 1.1 percent at a 95% confidence level. (bp)
