Jakarta, IO – The Indonesian National Esports Team won the eAsian Cup 2023 held by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Qatar, Monday (5/2).
The Garuda squad defeated Japan in the final match held at Virtuocity esports Arena, Doha, per Inews.id, Tue (6/2).

Indonesian team was represented by Rizky Faidan, Elga Cahaya Putra, and Akbar Paudie. It was the team’s first ever victory at the event. Rizky and Elga appeared calm when facing Japanese resistance in a tough duel. The match has to be decided through penalty shootout in the first leg with a score of 3-2. In the second leg, victory was achieved from the only goal via a free kick. Indonesia only lost once during the entire tournament. (un)
