Jakarta, IO – A year ahead the 2024 Elections, the Political Statistics institute (Polstat) released the results of their latest poll on the electability of presidential candidates.
According to Polstat senior researcher Apna Permana, one of their interesting findings is that Prabowo Subianto’s electability continues to rise.
“Based on media monitoring analysis, we also observed that positive sentiment towards the defense minister has consistently increased,” Apna said on Wednesday (22/2).
The poll was conducted from February 10-18 in all 34 provinces with 1,220 respondents selected using stratified random sampling method. Data collection was carried out using face-to-face interview with the help of questionnaire. It is also complemented by media monitoring analysis to measure developments in public sentiment towards the presidential candidates.
“Slowly but surely Prabowo Subianto’s electability continues to strengthen compared to his competitors. In September 2022 his electability was 30.2%. Now it has risen to 33%. Meanwhile, the electability of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan have stagnated,” said Apna.
