Jakarta, IO – Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno estimates that the 2024 World Water Forum (WWF) will generate economic contribution of up to Rp800 billion for Bali.

According to him, the international conference will attract up to 50,000 participants from within and outside the country. Increased visits to Bali are also expected to generate large revenues for local businesses and spur the local economy.

“We believe the World Water Forum in Bali can be a historical milestone for Indonesia and Bali to play a strategic role in water management with local wisdom,” said Sandiaga, per Katadata, Wed (8/5).

Sandiaga pointed out that demand for flights to Bali has soared, ahead of the event scheduled on May 20. He said additional flights to Bali might be provided during the event.
