Jakarta, IO – Indonesia’s Muhammadiyah muslims are praying the Eid-el-Adha 2023 or 10 Dzulhijjah 1444 H all across the country today. One of the mosques celebrating the Eid-el-Adha on Wednesday, 28/06/2023 is the Al Azhar Grand Mosque, South Jakarta.
The congregation started to arrive on site on 06.00 a.m. WIB in order to get ready for the 07.00 prayer. They filed in and filled the rows in the mosque proper and the yard in quiet order.

According to the result of the isbat meeting held by the RI Ministry of Religious Affair, this year’s Eid-el-Adha occurs on Thursday, 29 June 2023. On the contrary, the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership has declared, based on the Muhammadiyah Hisab Hakiki Wujudul Hilal or “Actual Determination of the Moon’s Appearance” criterion, that the Eid-el-Adha 1444 H occurs on Wednesday, 28 June 2023.
