Messi reportedly will skip friendly match against Indonesia

Jakarta, IO – Argentinian journalist Leo Paradizo on Twitter account on Saturday (10/6) broke the news that football superstar Lionel Messi will likely not joining his teammates in a match against Indonesia next week, Monday (19/6), per Katadata.

Argentina national team has arrived in Beijing on Saturday (10/6) for friendly match against Australia on Thursday (15/6).

“Exclusive information: he (Messi) will only play the first match against Australia, but will not travel to Indonesia for the June 19 match,” said Paradizo.

Until now, there has been no official explanation from Argentina or Indonesia side regarding this rumor. However, an Argentinian media Vemouth Deportivo reported the possible reason behind Messi’s absence is because he wants to have a vacation prior to joining his new club Inter Miami.
