Jakarta, IO – The German Football League (DFL) and Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) have expanded their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) this week.

The high-level delegation, led by PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, was warmly welcomed at the DFL headquarters, Frankfurt, Germany, on Wednesday (7/6). The two sides then discussed strengthening Indonesian football, primarily focused on two main areas, namely advancing technical capacity and sports expertise; and advancing the structure of leagues and clubs.

In the MoU, DFL and PSSI are committed to organizing training and collaborating in joint marketing, to support core activities in football.

Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the International Bundesliga Peer Naubert said: “Indonesia is the most populous country in Southeast Asia, and one of our most important markets who share a strong passion in German football.”

“It is for this reason that we see a strong relationship between the DFL and PSSI, to further strengthen the German-Indonesian relationship,” said Naubert.
