Jakarta, IO – Since the Covid-19 pandemic that scourged Indonesia concluded, our country has restarted to organize musical events throughout its territory. We have even welcomed foreign musicians again.

As music concerts are being revived across Indonesia, and in view of the fact that the people are thirsty for live music events after a 2-year vacuum, James Louis and Arden Wiebowo, PT Mega Konser Utama (“M Entertainment”) cofounders, decided to hold a concert featuring the legendary soft rock duo Air Supply. Titled The Lost in Love Experience, the concert will be held on 1 December 2023 at the Edutorium of Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, Solo, Central Java.

Air Supply was established in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975. Their members are Brit Graham Russell (vocals, guitar) and Australian Russell Hitchcock (vocals). Their songs defined childhood and youth for today’s adults across the decades. Their hits are well known across the globe, especially the top eight songs that ruled the US Billboard Hot 100 for weeks in their time: Lost in Love, All Out of Love, The One That You Love, Here I Am, Sweet Dreams, Even the Nights Are Better, and Making Love Out of Nothing at All.

The Air Supply concert will last 90 minutes, and it will be opened by young rising talent Brisia Jodie. She will sing her five best hits for the 6,000 members of the audience, divided into seven seating classes (Festival, Wings I (2nd Floor), Wings II (3rd Floor), Center I (2nd Floor), Center II (3rd Floor), VIP, and VVIP) before the duo play.

“We are very enthusiastic about holding a concert with the legendary band Air Supply in Solo. Why did we choose Solo as the venue? That’s because the city is a center point of Central Java, which is a region with a huge fanbase of the band. We certainly hope that these fans get to enjoy meeting their old idols again. Furthermore, Solo is not too far from Jakarta. This will allow Air Supply fans in Jakarta to also meet their idols again without too much trouble,” James Louis said. “We hope that bringing Air Supply back will help our music lovers to revel in their 70’s-90’s nostalgia. We also chose Brisia Jodie as their opening act to attract the newer generation of music lovers, i.e. those in the 17-30-yearold range, and introduce them to the gentle beauty that is uniquely Air Supply. We are dedicating our best music concerts to Indonesia’s music lovers.” (Des/ast)
