Jakarta, IO – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Supervisory Council has been alerted to the accusation since December 6, 2023. The prosecutor is identified as TI, who is handling the case in East Kalimantan, per Kompas, Mon (1/4).
“We will immediately investigate the credibility of the allegation and follow up on the results,” said KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri. “This information we receive is still preliminary. The substance still needs to be proven.”
Meanwhile, former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap, who lodged the complaint, said the handling of the alleged extortion report by KPK prosecutor was a test for the integrity of the anti-graft agency.
According to Yudi, KPK must be transparent in following up on the complaint, responding to developments in the case, providing legal certainty and handling the case properly.

“The integrity and reputation of KPK is at stake in the eyes of the public,” he cautioned.
Earlier, KPK Supervisory Council member Albertina Ho confirmed that the oversight body has received a complaint regarding the extortion and that it has been referred to enforcement and prevention deputy offices to have the accused’ wealth report (LHKPN) examined. (un)
