Jakarta, IO – The government launched digital public service malls (MPP), Tuesday (20/6). The inauguration was carried out personally by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

On this occasion, Ma’ruf Amin said the launch of the digital MPPs was a follow-up effort for the government to realize the commitment to integrate public services in the country. He emphasized that this step was taken to make it easier for the public to access public services.

“The presence of digital MPPs should be able to reduce perception of public services often synonymous with time-consuming and long queues, intermediaries and a lack of information,” said Ma’ruf, per Setkab.go.id, Wednesday (21/6).

Furthermore, he hopes that it can increase the awareness of stakeholders to agree on standards and types of public services. “As well as changing the way of they work to make them more integrated,” he added.

Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) minister Abdullah Azwar Anas previously explained that the implementation of digital MPPs would use a single sign-on scheme. This means that people only need one account and upload one document to access all public services.

Now, there are 21 regions which have begun the initial implementation. They include Banyumas regency, Hulu Sungai Selatan regency and Banda Aceh City. (un)
