Jakarta, IO – Thousands of people carried a giant national flag in the Red-and-White patriotic carnival themed “Creating a United and Harmonious Indonesia”, Sunday (28/8).
The flag stretches from the Silang Monas square to Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout, Central Jakarta.

The 1,700-meter long flag was carried by about 50,000 people. Dr. Habib Muhammad Luthfi bin Ali bin Yahya, a renowned Islamic cleric who is also member of the Presidential Advisory Council was also present to give a sermon (tausiyah) about diversity and love for the homeland. (Dumaz Artadi)
