Previously, PDI-P secretary general Hasto Kristiyanto responded to rumour of Prabowo-Puan candidacy. He emphasized that the nomination of president and VP candidates cannot be based on rumour because PDI-P has its own internal mechanism and there are stages to go through.
“There are mechanism and stages in politic. Politics cannot be based on rumour. PDI-P will only respond if it is related to issues faced by ordinary people,” said Hasto.
“We live in a democracy, so everyone has the rights to express their opinion on their preferred figures,” he added. (at)
