Jakarta, IO – Indonesian musicians are increasingly competing for an opportunity to have their music acknowledged by audiences in other countries, by trying different strategies to attract the world’s attention. Our musicians have been attempting many ways, from broadcasting their works through foreign media to performing at music festivals abroad.
Several Indonesian musicians have thus far successfully performed before music fans around the world.
The GAC Trio (Gamaliél, Audrey, and Cantika) and Isyana Sarasvati have been announced to perform before an international audience at one of Australia’s largest arts festivals, South by Southwest (SXSW) Sydney, which will take place from October 15 to 22, 2023.
SXSW is one of the world’s major arts festivals, historically held in Austin, Texas, United States. This year, SXSW will also be held in Sydney, to expedite the careers of filmmakers, musicians, and entertainment enthusiasts.

The festival will certainly be the perfect time for our prominent Indonesian musicians, under the REDROSE Records and SKY Entertainment labels, to introduce and present their works to the wider world. Isyana Sarasvati will perform songs from her recently released fourth album, “ISYANA,” while the GAC Trio will sing their famous hits, after nearly a 4-year hiatus. (des/ast)
