Jakarta, IO – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested eight people in a sting operation in Cilangkap (East Jakarta) and Jatisampurna (Bekasi), Tuesday (25/7).
An official from the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) is said to be among those nabbed, revealed the anti-graft agency’s spokesperson Ali Fikri, per Kompas, Wednesday (26/7).
Ali did not provide further information on the identity of the suspects. He only said that they were from the private sector, a government official, and other parties.

Ali also said that KPK confiscated undisclosed sum of money believed to be bribes in the operation. KPK has 24 hours to determine the legal status of the arrestees. (un)
