Jakarta, IO – Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) in East Java has been named the third most beautiful national parks in the world by Bounce, a travel service platform based in San Francisco, US.
Taking the crown is Kruger National Park in South Africa, while Lencois Maranhenses National Park in Brazil ranks second, per Detikcom, Tue (5/12).
The assessment is based on a number of things, including the number of posts on social media, online reviews, and keyword searches on Google throughout 2023. Bounce’s methodology was applied to 100 national parks globally, according to TourScanner.com
The research team then calculated a score based on the number of uploads on Instagram, the number of views on TikTok, Google searches from October 2022-September 2023 according to Google Ads, as well as reviews of each national park on Google.

The results showed that posts on TNBTS reached one billion views on TikTok and more than 930 thousand posts on Instagram in the last year. It also garnered 4.8 stars in positive reviews.
East Java governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said she is proud of the predicate and the global recognition given to the province. “Thanks be to God, apart from Ijen Crater, which has been designated as a UNESCO Global Park in June 2023, East Java also has Bromo, whose beauty is renowned worldwide,” said Khofifah.
