Jakarta, IO – In a mesmerizing fusion of musical talents, VIDI teams up with Asian megastar Lay Zhang and American pop sensation, Lauv, to deliver their captivating single, “Run Back to You.” The Indonesian pop star VIDI joined the collaboration in the making of the song’s special remix.
The collaborative remix between “Run Back to You” and VIDI was recently released on March 15, 2024, presenting a blend of contemporary pop melodies and nostalgic retro for their global audiences.
The song is all about romantic themes, including the complexities of relationships. VIDI opens the song remix in the Indonesian language, “Aku terbangun dalam kesal /Semua membuatku menyesal” (“I woke up in anger. I regret everything.”) VIDI’s smooth vocals complement Lay Zhang’s soulful delivery and Lauv’s emotive lyrics, creating a dynamic interplay that keeps audiences hooked from start to finish.
Lay Zhang shared his excitement about this project. “’Run Back to You’ is a new song that I made with my friend Lauv. It’s about learning from your past and growing from it. We had fun making this together, hoping everyone can join in and dance,” expressed Lay.
“I met Lay on my first trip to Mainland China. He’s a great guy, and we made a song together. I can’t believe this work is finally out; hopefully, the world is ready for us,” said Lauv.
