Jakarta, IO – Indonesia and Qatar seek to strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation through the “Qatar Year of Culture 2023” program. Wide range of Indonesian cultural heritages will be exhibited in Qatar and vice versa.

For starters, the Education and Culture Ministry’s Culture Directorate General is holding an exhibition themed “Kopi Togetherness” from November 18-December 19 at the National Museum, Jakarta, with the aim of attracting local and international public interest in Indonesian coffee commodities.

In addition, “Kopi Togetherness” can be a forum for coffee connoisseurs to exchange cultural values and the rich taste of coffee from different regions in Indonesia. By presenting cultural values of coffee, the exhibition also seeks to promote local products to a wider market.

Coffee is a promising asset, so more attention should be given to ensure the sustainability of this commodity. Coffee-based agroforestry to maintain the taste, for example, will result in higher selling prices, according to Dr. Rony Megawanto, Director of the Biodiversity Program who took part in the program, Wednesday (30/11).
