Jakarta, IO – House Committee II member Guspardi Gaus said up to now there has been no final decision on the duration for the elections campaign, whether 75 days or 90 days.
“The decision on the duration of the campaign period will be determined in a working meeting and a hearing between Committee II, the government, and election organizers to be rescheduled on June 7,” said Guspardi, as per CNN Indonesia, Friday (3/6).

According to Guspardi, at the working committee meeting from May 13-15, the duration of the campaign period had been discussed. At that time, the General Elections Commission (KPU) initially proposed 120 days. Then the government asked for 90 days. While the majority factions in Committee II wanted 60-75 days.
