In this sense, Agus Suwage’s works provide a glimpse into the real picture at the intersection of national identity, politics, society, and individual expression that takes us into a complex psychological space. Concepts such as memory, fear, alienation, wishful thinking, personal identity, and humor are intertwined with broad social commentary. (Ricardo Ronald)
