Jakarta, IO – The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway (KCJB), known popularly as Whoosh, will end its free public trial phase this week. This means that starting next week (16/10), passengers will have to pay a full commercial fare.
The government is likely to set the fare at around Rp250,000 to Rp350,000. However, the operator PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has yet to officially announce the rates, per Katadata, Friday (13/10).
There will be three classes of seats — premium economy, first and business. “We will officially announce the fare for each class later,” said KCIC spokesperson Eva Chairunisa.
She ensured that the company would inform the public before commercial operation come into effect. This information will be announced via the official KCIC channel.

Before the commercial phase commence, the public can still take part in the third stage of the Whoosh Experience Program by registering only at ticket.kcic.co.id for a departure period of October 11-26. (un)
