Jakarta, IO – National Police (Polri) chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo issued a directive on the temporary postponement of the legal process involving participants of General Elections 2024.

Polri spokesperson Insp. Gen. Sandi Nugroho confirmed this information. According to him, this was done to ensure that the situation during the election remains conducive, per Kompas, Friday (13/10).

“Let’s postpone them first so that they don’t interfere with the interests of certain political parties in its implementation,” he said.

However, according to Sandi, field investigators will continue to conduct case expose to determine whether the case involving election participants needs to be stopped temporarily or not. “However, we will also decide this based on the results of the case expose and the results of developments in the field later on,” he said.
