Jakarta, IO – The public will enjoy a number of additional benefits from the Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) in Q3-2023.
Bank Indonesia (BI) deputy governor Filianingsih Hendarta said the central bank would soon launch the QRIS cash withdrawal, transfer and deposit (TUNTAS) feature in August.
“Currently there are 16 participants who are ready to pilot test this feature, which has been carried out since 2021 and soft launch in 2022 in Bali, hopefully in August there will be a grand launch,” said Filianingsih, per Merdeka, Friday (23/6).
Filianingsih said there are three benefits offered by QRIS TUNTAS feature in improving the service quality of the digital payment system.
“First, optimizing sources of funds so they can be used for various activities, not only for savings but to add functions as electronic money,” he said.
