Jakarta, IO – Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that the trial of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway (KCJB) can be participated in by the general public starting today, Friday (15/9).
Budi said that registration for the KCJB trial for the general public had been opened and will run for 15 days, from September 15-30, per Kompas.com.
KCJB is scheduled to officially start its operation on October 1, starting with eight trips. The frequency will be increased in phases to 28 in November, 40 in December and 68 in January 2024.
PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) corporate secretary Eva Chairunisa said the company would operate 20 trips during the trial period, per Republika.

While the priority would be for residents living around the route, Eva said the general public can take part after registering themselves.
“Later we will officially announce the mechanism regarding how people can get tickets independently via our website and social media,” said Eva. (un)
