Bareskrim Polri pursues drug kingpin Fredy Pratama in collaboration with Thai and Malaysian Police

Jakarta, IO – Bareskrim Polri Director of Narcotics Crimes Brig. Gen. Mukti Juharsa said the Indonesian police is launching a manhunt codenamed “Escobar” against drug kingpin Fredy Pratama a.k.a Cassanova, with the help of Thai and Malaysian police, because it is suspected that he is hiding abroad.

“Polri has issued a red notice against Fredy Pratama. Fredy’s network is said to be the largest drug syndicate in Indonesia. The red notice has been issued since June,” said Mukti, per Detikcom, Thursday (14/9).

Mukti said Fredy has been a fugitive and on the wanted list (DPO) since 2014 and a red notice against him had only been issued since his drug syndicate was uncovered in May.

Fredy was last detected in Thailand. “After the red notice is issued, his movement will be limited unless he forges his identity. But we will keep tracking his whereabouts,” said Mukti.
