“On Sunday morning, the police finally managed to find six victims who were missing in several different locations. They were rescued by residents. However, up to now there are still many people, around 400, who take refuge in Nabire Regency,” explained Kamal.
“The six buildings burnt down by the mob belong to the BPKAD (financial and asset management board), the Education Agency, the Finance Agency, the Inspectorate, the Environmental Agency and the Dukcapil (population and civil registry),” said Kamal.

“Early this morning the mob were still throwing stones and shooting arrows where the officers were on guard, so members responded with warning shots to prevent them from getting closer to the officers,” he added.
“The situation was kept under control on Sunday morning, when the crowd has dispersed,” he added. (rr)
