Dewa 19’s second vocalist, Elfonda “Once” Mekel, carried the concert by singing the Band’s 6 hits during his time. He got the audience backing him on “Roman Picisan” (“Penny Romance”), “Perempuan Paling Cantik” (“The Most Beautiful Woman”), “Dewi” (“My Goddess”), “Kosong” (“Emptiness”), “Cemburu” (“Jealousy”), and “Risalah Hati” (“Treatise of the Heart”), and carried them deep into their hearts with his amazing vocals and embodiment of the songs.

What of Ari Lasso, Dewa’s first ever vocalist? Of course he was there! As Once faded backstage, he took the spotlight with “Cinta ‘Kan Membawamu Kembali” (“Love Shall Bring You Back”), “Elang” (“The Eagle”), and “Persembahan dari Surga” (“Gift from Heaven”). Right after him, Andre Taulany made a surprise appearance. He sang “Mungkinkah” (“Can It Be”), the legendary song Ahmad Dhani arranged for his band, Stinky.

After that, Ari Lasso went back on stage to join Dewa 19 in singing their new song, “Tangis Terakhir” (“The Final Tears”). The lyrics to the song were displayed on the giant screen behind the performers, to allow the audience to sing along. Ari then went on to sing four hits from his time in the band: “Aku Disini Untukmu” (“I Am Here for You”), “Kirana” (“Moon Goddess”), “Aku Milikmu” (“I Am Yours”), and “Kangen” (“I Miss You”).

To wind down the concert, all four vocalists – Ari, Once, Ello, and Virzha – all went on stage and sang the two legendary hits, “Kamulah Satusatunya” (“You Are the Only One”) and “Separuh Nafas” (“Half My Life’s Breath”).

The amazing concert has ended, but our memory of Dewa 19’s special songs will remain eternal in our hearts. Until next time! (des/ast)
