“Two days ago, I have sent a WhatsApp message the TNI Commander and the Army Chief of Staff. Yesterday I also met with the TNI Commander and conveyed my apology in person. The Commander said there was no problem, so it was clear,” he said.
Meanwhile, Army spokesperson Col. Hamim Tohari said the incident should be a lesson learned for all.

“Gen. Dudung is fully aware that this is not an action that reflects the view or position of the House or any political party, but only of the person. Therefore, internally, he has appealed to the soldiers not to overreact,” he said. (rr)
