Jakarta, IO – Vice President Ma’ruf Amin stated that Indonesia’s readiness to host the G20 Summit is almost 100 percent.
“As stated by the Coordinating Minister Luhut earlier, after a coordination meeting to discuss the preparation for G20 summit, we are nearly 100 percent ready,” said Ma’ruf Amin, as reported by Antara, Tuesday (30/8).
In the meeting held in Bali, Ma’ruf also asked officials to ensure that G20 Summit agenda run perfectly and give the best impression because Indonesia’s international image is at stake.
Furthermore, Ma’ruf Amin said because the summit will be attended by many heads of state and heads of international bodies, he reminded that all accommodations and other services be prepared carefully.
“We have to give a good impression. From what I heard, we are ready. This place is extraordinary, but the services must also be excellent,” he said.
The 17th G20 Summit will be held in Bali from November 15-16. As the chair of this year’s summit, Indonesia carries the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger,” an appeal to the world to support each other to achieve a recovery. This year’s G20 is of more significant importance as the world is facing a multitude of crises. (un)
