Jakarta, IO – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division general crimes director Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi explained why the police did not let Kamarudin Simanjuntak, the lawyer representing Brigadier J’s family, to watch the murder reenactment at the official residence of ex-police internal affairs chief Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on Tuesday (30/8).

According to him, there is no regulation stipulating that a deceased victim’s legal representative must be present in a crime reenactment.

“Those who must attend the reenactment are investigators, prosecutors, suspects and witnesses and their legal representatives,” Andi said, as reported by CNN Indonesia, Tuesday (30/8).

Andi said the reenactment of the cop murder was done for the sake of investigation and prosecution. Therefore, the suspects must be present. In addition, he also said it has been overseen by external parties to ensure transparency.
