Indonesian cyclists reach the finish line of the oldest cycling event in Paris

Jakarta, IO – Handika after reaching the finish line Paris Brest Paris. (source: instagram/handika8) managed to reach the finish line in Paris-Brest-Paris with a set cut of time (COT) record.

Handika was the first Indonesian to set this record. He managed to complete a route of 1,200 kilometers within 62 hours 23 minutes (three days), per Detikcom, Friday (25/8).

The chilling temperature of minus 3 degrees in Paris did not dampen his spirits. Even though he was injured, his remained steadfast against the cold and kept pedaling to the finish line.

He also carried a humanitarian mission in his race to raise funds for orphans in Indonesia so they can get a better life.

His mission was part of his contribution in celebrating Indonesia’s 78th anniversary with EJ Sport, an Indonesian-made performance-enhancing sports product. (un)
