In a discussion between Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi and his Japanese counterpart, the two countries agreed to pursue the second phase development of Patimban Port, a car export terminal with the annual capacity of 600,000 cars in 2024 and a container port with a capacity of 525,000 TEUs this year. Meanwhile, the Jakarta East-West MRT Project is currently in the basic engineering design stage expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
