Jakarta, IO – Founded in 1960 in Cilandak, South Jakarta, the traditional bone setting practice of Haji Naim is still open today. The simple residential building is still crowded with people from all walks of life.
The popularity of Haji Naim’s practice cannot be separated from the pioneer. Haji Naim, of Betawi ethnic group, learned his skills when joined Cimande martial arts school that specializes in silat. He is the disciple of the guru named Kyai Hasbullah.

Since he passed away in 1981, Haji Naim’s practice has been continued by his son Haji Sanusi, 63. Je can treat various bone or muscle injuries using a specially-formulated oil and bamboo as a splint. There is no set rates for his service. Patients can pay by voluntary donation. (IO/Faisal Ramadhan)
