Jakarta, IO – Children with hearing impairments reciting the Koran at the Tahfidz Disabled Islamic Boarding School KH Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah, Jakarta (21/3).
During the month of Ramadan, the school held a free Koran learning program and impromptu Islamic boarding school for children with hearing impairments. In this activity, they are taught Islamic religious knowledge starting from memorizing short letters, stories of the prophet, fiqh, to practicing reading and writing the Iqra and Al-Quran using sign language.

In the class, the children seemed very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. They move their fingers when reciting the Koran or communicating with their teachers and other participants. Every day, around 20 to 30 children attend to take part in the activities. Most of them are School for the Disabled (SLB) students who come from various areas in Greater Jakarta. The school activity takes place every Monday to Friday, starting from 4pm WIB.
