Jakarta, IO – This happened after NasDem Party chairman announced Jakarta Governor Anies as a presidential candidate for the upcoming election in 2024, reported CNN Indonesia on Friday (7/10).
One of the cadres is Niluh Djelantik, a well-known footwear entrepreneur. She expressed her disappointment with the party’s decision and announced her resignation via Twitter. She stated that she was not “in line” with Anies even though she has no personal problem with him.
Fredriek Lumalente, cadre from North Sulawesi, and Anak Agung Ngurah Panji Astika, from Bali, also resigned.
“I had a discussion with Niluh in Bali. Since I am not keen on Anies, I just resigned,” said Fredriek. While Anak Agung believed it is better for him to leave the party rather than continue to oppose the party’s decision.
