Jakarta, IO – Indonesian Police (Polri) revealed that terrorist group Indonesian Islamic State (NII) are recruiting young children, many are still under the age 13.
“We found 77 children under the age of 13 brainwashed and forced to take an oath of allegiance to NII,” said National Police spokesperson Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan on Tuesday (12/4).

Police also found 126 adults who had been recruited since they were in their teenagers. The police said it will coordinate with the National Child Protection Commission (KPAI).
“We will further probe their network in coordination with KPAI,” explained the one-star police general.
