Jakarta, IO – Unexpected incident marked the Indonesia Masters 2024 badminton tournament. The trophy won by Chinese mixed doubles players Zheng Si Wei/Huang Yoh Qiong, broke after it fell to the floor at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
Zheng/Huang managed to beat Japan on Sunday (28/1). This victory was the fifth title won by China since 2018, per Tempo, Tue (30/1).
However, the trophy which marked the dominance of Chinese athletes in the Indonesia Masters was shattered when it was held by Zheng.
