Jakarta, IO – Good news comes from the world of Indonesian photography scene. A photo titled “Warung Kopi” by snapped by an Indonesian photographer Dikye Ariani won the 2023 CEWE Photo Award.
According to Good News From Indonesia (@gnfi) Instagram post on Thursday (19/10), the photo won in the popular and general categories.
It was taken in a studio in Bogor featuring the concept of a traditional coffee shop. The work managed to beat 509,612 other entries in the photo competition.
Lois Lammerhuber, one of the judges in the contest, was very impressed with Dikye’s ability to portray happiness in a community, per radarjogja.
‘Warung Kopi’ is said to not only present visual beauty, but also highlight the rich and alluring essence of Indonesian culture.
CEWE Photo Award is a competition organized by CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA, a photo printing company based in Oldenburg, Germany. This year it picked the theme “Our World is Beautiful”. The award is divided into 10 categories. (un)
