Jakarta, IO – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and State Secretary Pratikno pretended to conduct a journalist-style doorstop interview with President Joko Widodo on Wednesday (14/6).
It happened when the Head of State was about to give a press statement, after attending an internal meeting with the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP).
At first, they were waiting for President Jokowi, who was still saying farewell to BPKP staff. Seeing the dozens of journalists who had gathered and waiting for the President’s doorstop, Sri Mulyani and Pratikno then said hello, per Kompas, Wednesday.
Shortly thereafter, they sat with reporters to take a group photo before the doorstop session. When President Jokowi arrived, Sri Mulyani and Pratikno were still taking pictures with journalists. Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto, who accompanied President Jokowi, also joked with them.
“This is new journalists, Sir,” Airlangga said, pointing to Sri Mulyani and Pratikno. The President smiled and immediately started the interview session by answering the questions.
