Jakarta, IO – Brantas train from Pasar Senen-Blitar collided with a truck at a train crossing in Semarang, Tuesday (18/7) evening. The incident caused delays in other train services.
Due to this disruption, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) apologized. KAI Region 4 spokesperson Ixfan said the accident cut off the two lines between Jerakah Station-Semarang Poncol.
“On behalf of KAI management, we apologize to our customers for the disruption to train travel and services due to this incident,” Ixfan said on Wednesday (19/7).
After a few hours, services on the route were restored. He ensured that no one was injured in the incident.
Nevertheless, Ixfan acknowledged that PT KAI sustained material and immaterial losses in the forms of damage to the rails and locomotives and the company’s reputation. (un)
