After Baraja’s arrest, police conducted raids in several regions and arrested the branch leaders: GZ, DS and AS in Brebes, Central Java; HM and EU in Purwakarta, Subang and Karawang; AE, AS and YN in Bandung; and Aminuddin Mahmud who is the leader in Greater Surabaya.
“This suspect has a direct connection with Abdul Qadir Hasan Baraja who propagated caliphate ideology with the aim of establishing a caliphate state in Lampung on May 29,” explained the Criminal Investigations Chief of East Java Police, (Pol) Commissioner Totok Suharyanto, to CNN Indonesia.

In Cirebon, Ali Jamroni was also named a suspect in connection with the group’s activities in Central Java. In Solo, police arrested two Klaten residents suspected of having official positions at KM. They were Amir (head) of Central Java branch IM (62) and Klaten regency branch head SW (26). (rr)
