Jakarta, IO – Indonesian Amateur Radio Organization (Orari) commemorates its 55th anniversary at Mercure, South Jakarta, Sunday (9/7). In his address, Orari chairman Donny Imam Priambodo expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all Orari members throughout Indonesia for their dedication.
Despite encountering many obstacles, he said Orari has remained solid to this day. Going forward, Donny urged the members to remain united so Orari can become better and contribute to a greater good.
“Avoid strife, blasphemy; maintain unity, so Orari can continued to be united and go global,” Donny.

Orari also signed an MOU with the National Agency of Search and Rescue (BNPP/BASARNAS) for radio communication backup and awarded a honorary callsign to BNPP Head Air Marshal Henri Alfiandi, YBØHEN.
“Hopefully this can overcome constraints in communication, especially in remote areas where there is no frequency,” he said. (nhn)
