Jakarta, IO – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a sting operation (OTT) in North Maluku. A total of 15 people were arrested, one of whom was North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba.
“So far more than 15 people have been arrested both in South Jakarta and in Ternate City,” said KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri, per detikcom, Tue (19/12).
Ali said the OTT was carried out on Monday (18/12). Other than the governor, KPK also arrested a number of officials and individuals from the private sector.
They were arrested in connection with the alleged money-for-position scheme and procurement of goods and services in North Maluku administration.

“We are still gathering information from the parties arrested. We will convey the details, including their legal status, after the investigation process is complete,” said Ali. (un)
