MPR chairman supports indigenous defense industry during visit to Indo Defence 2022

“This collaboration seeks to maximise the role of the nation’s children in weaponry manufacturing,” Bambang told Indonesia Defense Magazine (IDM), Wednesday (2/11).

The Indo Defense 2022 Expo & Forum was held again after two years hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event, scheduled from November 2-5 was held at three locations, namely JIExpo Kemayoran, Pondok Dayung Naval Base and the south apron of Halim Perdanakusuma AFB.

Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said the exhibition aims to showcase the latest military technologies. He also appreciated the high quality of equipment produced by 155 state-owned and privately-held Indonesian defense manufacturers and their readiness to compete at the global level. In total, the expo is also participated in by 905 defense companies from 59 countries. (un)
